A brace that fits is a brace people actually wear

Most braces are returned for one reason: the wrong size. We take your measurements before anything ships, tell you which model suits the diagnosis, and handle the insurance paperwork behind it.

Insurance handled, cost known upfront

Off-the-shelf orthoses are covered under the Medicare Part B DME benefit when prescribed. Part B pays 80% of the approved amount and you owe the remaining 20% — we bill Medicare directly and tell you your share before anything ships, not after.

  • L-code listed on every product so your prescription matches the SKU
  • Benefits verified and prior authorisation secured when the payer requires it
  • We contact your physician for the written order — you don't chase it
  • Private-pay pricing available if you'd rather skip insurance entirely

★★★★★
Six weeks after my ACL repair my surgeon wanted the hinge range changed. They walked me through it on the phone and mailed the stop pins the same day.
Daniel R. · Knee brace, Naperville IL
★★★★★
The back brace I was given at the hospital never fit. Reliable measured me properly and the rigid LSO they sent is the first one I can actually wear all day.
Marlene T. · Lumbosacral orthosis, Indiana
★★★★★
My mother needed a wrist splint and an ankle brace. One phone call, both billed to Medicare, and someone explained the 20% before we agreed to anything.
Sonya B. · Wrist and ankle bracing, Illinois

QUESTIONS

Coverage, delivery and paperwork

If your question isn't here, call us and describe what you're dealing with. We're happy to help you figure it out.

Ask us anything →
Does Medicare cover braces and supports?+

Yes. Medicare Part B covers medically necessary off-the-shelf orthoses, including knee braces, back braces, and wrist splints when prescribed by a doctor. Medicare pays 80% of the approved amount and you pay the remaining 20%. We handle the paperwork and bill Medicare directly.

Do I need a prescription?+

Yes, if you want your insurance to cover the brace. We can supply the brace directly to you without a prescription if you are paying out of pocket. If you have a doctor, we can contact them for the written order on your behalf.

How do I know what size to get?+

Many braces are adjustable, but for those that aren't, we will provide clear measurement instructions. If you're local to Downers Grove, you can visit our fitting room. Otherwise, our fitters can guide you over the phone.

What is your return policy on braces?+

For hygiene and medical reasons, worn braces cannot be returned unless they are defective. If a brace doesn't fit properly, contact us within 48 hours and we will work with you to exchange it for the correct size.

How quickly will my brace ship?+

Orders placed and insurance-verified by 1:00pm CT Monday through Friday typically dispatch the same day from our Downers Grove warehouse.

Not sure which brace you need?

Tell us the joint, what happened, and what your doctor said. We'll name two or three appropriate models with the price and coverage for each — no obligation to order.
