Ankle & foot braces
Ankle bracing splits into two jobs: stopping inversion after a sprain, and controlling foot drop. Rigid stirrup braces do the first well and fit inside a shoe. Lace-up braces are lower profile for return to sport. Ankle-foot orthoses hold the foot at 90 degrees where dorsiflexion is weak, which is a fall-prevention issue as much as a mobility one.
